1. Describe my chatting experiences with my peers.
That day, we chatted almost an hour. That was my first time chatted in English for a really long time, other times I always chatted in Chinese, so it drove me crazy. Why?? Actually, I think my English is not very well. The key point we chatted was the project in Business Venture class, we chatted about which company we want to make the report and how many people in a group to do the report. Finally, we decided that ten persons in a group and the company we chose is KFC. So we started talking about the parts of the report, such as KFC’s menu history, business and the price, something like this. We talked about the whole information about the KFC. Then we chatted about what day we made the report. After that, we decided Sunday afternoon to do the report with our all group members. In this civilized society, I think everyone should learn some “Mars Language”, the “Mars Language” is very popular now. I have learned some of it, such as OGC and Orz, something like that, I think it is pretty interesting, it makes me laugh all the time, maybe makes the other peers laugh, too.
Although typed in English is difficult for me, but I think it is OK. Sometimes my peers typed some words, that was difficult for me to understand the meaning, but when I find the dictionary to check it, I feel so happy because I have learned one more vocabulary, it is good for me. I am so lucky because I have an electronic dictionary named Kwai Yi Tong, this machine really helpful for me. Maybe you think type in English is nothing, but for me, it is really, really special and helpful for me. I feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed when we chatted, when I typed some words that my peers can not understand, I felt so sorry, but, when my peers typed some words that I
can not understand, I felt very confused. But I think this was a really special experience for me to chat with my peers in English. It can improve the speed of type in English, on account of I type in English is really very slow. Now, when I have free time, I sometimes also chat with my good friends and classmates in English without any Chinese.
After this experience, I think I need to learn more English ability, such as vocabulary, grammar and writing skills.
2. Describe my blog and blogging experiences.
My blog name is Blogbuster. It is named from Blockbuster, because I think the pronunciation is similar, so I decided this name for my blog. Sounds interesting, right? There are many parts in my blog. First part is my self introduction, there is one picture in that part of the blog, I took the picture at home many years ago. Next is the online dictionaries, there are eight online dictionary links in my blog. Then is the ESL/EFL English Learning websites, there are five websites about English learning. There is the movie and song in my blog, the movie name is “Live Free or Die Hard” and the name of the song is “Nobody Wants To Be Lonely”, this is one of my favorite song. The singer are Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin, I like them very much, so I upload this song on my blog, I always listen to the song when I am free. The most important thing is I put one of my favorite thing on my blog, that is “Puppy Show”, I have watched the puppy show for almost ten years, I like it very much, so I put Huo Yuan-Jia palmardrama on my blog. If you have never watched the puppy show, now try it, and then you will like it.
About the blogging experiences, this is my first time to build a blog. At the beginning, I think it is so difficult for me, but after the teacher and some classmates taught me, and I try to do it, I feel better. Creating this blog is helpful to me, because this blog is all English without any Chinese, so it can help me to learn some English. There are ESL/EFL English learning websites and eight online dictionary links in my blog, I can learn English from them. If I do not understand some vocabularies and grammar, I can use them to check it, it is so convenient. There are the movie and song in my blog, I can learn some English ability from these two things, such as listening and talking in English, maybe also can learn some vocabularies, so they are helpful for me. Otherwise, there is an interesting English learning game in my blog, that is JCloze. In JCloze, there is an article, but the article has some blanks, and there are some information about the blanks, it can let me learn some words from JCloze. I have found an English news in my blog, after I read it, Oh my god, it is so difficult for me to read, there are many words that I do not understand and never learned, but luckily, I have put eight online dictionary websites, I used them to check out the meaning, at last, I understand the meaning. After I knew the meaning of those words, I typed the explanation below that page of the blog. I think I have learned many new words from the blog, so now, I have interested in the blog, it is wonderful. The most difficult thing for me is the HTML codes, but it also attracts me very much, I have heard the HTML codes when I was in junior high school. However, this is my first time to use the HTML codes, I can use it to put some songs, movies and anything I like on my blog, I think it is interesting and useful, even convenient, maybe. So far, I still can not clearly understand the HTML codes, in class, I saw many blogs of other classmates were so beautiful and special, I did not know how they made it, it made me confused, I think I need to practice and explore more about the HTML codes.
